Full of Flaws

This was my first experience with a high end phone and man I am disgusted with the product!

Just 6 months in purchasing the phone and it has become useless for all practical purposes.

As many people pointed out the phone has software issues due to which it hangs often and restarts also selects a different profile like silent, flight all on its own.

When I went to the Nokia service center to get it repaired they refused to take ti saying it has liquid damage! Meaning it got wet is the rains once. But what I fail to understand is how rains can corrupt software, I mean if the screen goes out or the or the buttons stop working then it is understandable!

Browsing the net I found this problem reported by many consumers across the world in places where there are no monsoons, in most cases Nokia had to replace the handset. So I suspect their excuse of liquid damage is to save themselves the cost of replacing the handset. Even though the phone was in the warranty period and they were claiming liquid damage I offered to pay the cost of repairs( BTW the only problem was with the software not the hardware) however I was refused point blank saying now it is beyond repair!

The other thing is the design flaw in the hands free earphones, I do not know what they thought while designing it .The clip you use to attach it to your shirt came off in just a week after 2-3 months the button for changing the channels stopped working and then the headphones itself stopped working. .There is a severe shortage of replacements for the hands free in the markets and I couldn’t find one anywhere .Since it was in the warranty period I went to get it replaced and was told that even the Main Nokia service center in Mumbai(Phoenix mills) does not have it in stock . It took them 25 days to replace the hands free by which time the phone itself had stopped working .Also the two wires for the handset are not of equal length(dunno why) which makes it problematic to use while jogging etc.

Apart from this the ringing volume is really low even when the phone is set to full volume.

All is all an extremely low quality product from Nokia!
