Good phone, but has some bugs and problems

This is one of the best nokia phones I had in terms of pricing, features, suitability for third party aplications, music quality, and picture clarity. Till date I have tried so many aplications and each one of them has worked like a charm. I use gmail, Opera browser, youtube application, kaspersky mobile antivirus, adobe reader LE 2.5(trial version) and many other free applications available free on nokia and ovi website.

however there are problems also, for example, there is gap on the right top corner of my 5800 and which has still not been repaired. everytime I went to the nokia care, they either said that the part was not availble or just carried out a fake repalcement process.

the other problem is that it takes very long time to convert .avi files to nokia format. Nokia should have provided a more advanced player or made the conversion a lot faster. The most bad thing is that 5800 does not have pdf reader which was avaiable in N78. I think pdfs have become so sommon that all phones should have pdf readers installed in them and not only 5800.

the worst thing is that when I convert pdf into word and transfer it and try to open the word doc, the phone crashes saying that, "not enough memory to open aplication, close other applications to open file". even when I convert pdf to plain text and try to open it, it does open, but shuts down after I try to scroll down.

But inspite of these bugs and problems, I stil do not want to sell my phone because it still has plenty of other things that work perfectly. I am planning to buy licensed version of adobe LE 2.5, then may be I think one problem will be solved.

another aspect is that prices of 5800 have crashed, I bought the phone for 18500 and now the price at some places is around 13.5K. So its now in everybodys reach I guess. I was planning to buy N97 after selling my 5800, but since N97 has turned out to be a big dud, I think I will hold on to my 5800 for some more time till something better arrives. thats all.
