Hi Mouthshut users!
Having done some R&D in the recent phones(3315 was my earlier phone!) I wanted a phone with good no. of features like FM radio, good amount of memory for phone book, reminders etc(least importance to camera as nuthing can replace digi cam’s), rather than unwanted features(java, internet etc which are not possible here in India with these negliegnt service providers like airtel, hutch, bsnl etc)
I was prepared to buy 6230i but fortunately by God’s grace came to know that its been pegegd by s/w and many problems and hence concluded with SonyEricsson K750i..but the thught process came to the maintenance of such a large amount in my pocket i.e. I can buy this phone but who will take care of all the time with tensions of maintaining 18k product..!hence ended up with 6030.
features-wise 6030 is marvelous except there is no mp3 player..but note that there is not a single phone in market with FM and mp3 player only(excluding camera)...also camera phones r banned in soem of the BPO companies in baglore and Hyderabad...hence dropped the idea of buying k750i...
reception quality of 6030 is excellent and good amount of memory for phone book, reminders etc..good ringtones, reasonable cost etc...as u know already nokia is good@basic phones with proven models like 3310, 3315 etc..the typing on keypad is also joy to do...

Final coment is that this is a good phone with useful no. of features rather than many no.of features which doesn’t meet to our use(in my opinion!)
