Well I bought it the year it was launched in India NOvember, 2006 to be exact. Since this was the first phone that I bought (I did use my friends samsung and my brother’s nokia1100), I did not know what to look for in the pros.
I decided to go in for either nokia or moto. For around the same price, there was Moto L6 being launched that week. Both had nearly the same features and memory but the moto had bluetooth whereas 6070 had infrared.
Looks wise, this looked attractive with a big screen and easier to use and it had already been in the market for 4-5 months so I decided this was better.
Well since Nokia brand is a quality product it has no problems regarding its quality and even if dropped, it endures with resilience like most nokia phones. The picture quality is so-so because for the same prize U can get spice and moto 1.3 Mp or 2MP camera phones. Its easy to handle and operate so no problem.
The memory leaves a lot to be desired and the minus point is that its memory is not expandable. The data cable was not included with my set, but without this it is useless. The infrared port is very useful and can be used perfectly. The user guide is useless for most features like infrared use, PTT, data cable, Conversations, shortcuts, assigning ring tones, Configuration settings, Internet usage etc.
I miss the assign a ring tone to a caller feature very much. Till date I have not found out what voice tags are and how to use them.
All in all, its a nice entry level phone because of its brand but if U dont mind buying spice, moto, or Local Cell, you can get much better features for same price.
