Great Phone, value for money.

I was looking for a phone that can offer me a vga camera, FM

tuner, GPRS and a bigger screen. My budget was around 7k. I was actually using

a Nokia 6030 before I bought Nokia 6125. My Nokia 6030 had FM tuner and GPRS

but not a camera. When I went to buy phone, I zeroed down on Nokia 6070, which

was fulfilling all my above stated requirements. But then somehow I didn’t like

its display. Then the dealer suggested me that if I could increase my budget,

then there is a new phone from Nokia that has great functionality. When I saw

6125, I just fell in love with it. Its display is great and it provides almost

all the features of a high-end phone at a very affordable price.

Some Key Features

- mega pixel cameraMP3  player and FM radioGPRS  with EDGEBluetooth  and InfraredExpandable

Memory, hot swappable, i.e. one does not have to remove battery for  changing memory card.Good

PIM featuresJ2ME  device which supports installing other applications like Opera Mini, Gmail

for mobile, Google mobile maps, Yahoo GO 2 etc.Revised  new S40 3rd edition operating system.Supports push email (POP and IMAP)PTT-

Push to TalkAwesome  keypad, with bigger keys, so its very easy to type SMS’s

All in all I am using this phone for last 6 months and have

never faced any major issue with it.  Onthe other hand it wins hands down on similar products from Sony and Motorola interms of functionality. My roommates have Sony Ericcson K750i and Motorola

SLVR. Both of them crib about the fact that new applications installed on their phones like Gmail or Opera do not work. But in case of Nokia, you install anyapplication and it works great.  Also its speaker is better than Sony, I mean it delivers a much higher volume.

Now something that I do not like in this phone

Camera pictures taken in daylight are great but in dark are not good, so a flash would have been perfect.External display could have been betterInternal display tends to get marks on it due to its contact with keypad.Data cable should be bundled with the phone.

Battery life is OK, lasts for 2-3 days with normal usage and no multimedia usage. Talk time is around 3 hrs.  Overall I am very satisfied with the entire experience. And any body willing to shell 10000 or around on a clamshell phone can really

consider this phone.
