Hi guys - am writing a review aftera long time - hope u guys still remember me ;-)
Motorola was the first cellphone on the Indian turf.It was the best option way back 7 years ago.That is until Nokia arrived.And Nokia just blew away the competition.And Nokia flooded the market with new shapes and sizes , with new features , with promises of better durability and battery life and almost became an undisputed leader . Almost..because the flip phone market was still wide open.
And so arrived the Moto Razor and from the flank it started attacking Nokia and then the Moto Pebble and people soon started syaing - Nokia models are not exciting enough. Nokia got into the act and the improved 6131 is a good start.
I am one of the Nokia believers and thats why despite my brother pushing for the Moto Razr and the shopkeeper thrusting the Samsung down my throat , I stuck to my guns and said my first flip phone shall be a Nokia. Frankly this is not because of anything else but thaty I am so used to the Nokia software and navigation that getting used to another one is unthinkable.
I have this phone for a week now. Here are a few thoughts :-
Looks - Refined yet sporty - the right kind of mobile to go with a semi-formal dress code
Features- More than I thought= It has camera , video can play MP3 with an attcahed memory card , bluetooth - hey thats cool man
Battery life - Slightly below expectations - battery life is lower than avg Nokia.However it is not so low thats because the battery image shown is very small and so even if its 3/4ths empty you think - the battery is gone but the phone will run. Also you could have battery savers in the mini display , dont use ur camera often and the battery is okay - Also sometimes the charger if not properly inserted may not charge correctly. However in this dept Nolia has scope for improvement
Ease - Its easy to use though message sending cld be more simplified
Build Quality - Nice material - the leather back is superb
And so whle Moto Razr and the gang bring out pink , maroon , golden and what not cheap colours in the name if style , Nokia has stuck to its high point with this phone. So all you Moto Fans out there hoping for a Revenge on Nokia - you better watch out - I think Nokia is gonna repeat its success here.
