I just got a Nokia 6230 on Dussera -it’s a brilliant phone and I recommend to all for a couple of reasons:
Excellent resolution of photo and video I am yet to transfer files on the PC.
MP3 players which makes it a pleasure to listen to your favourite song
MMC card allows you to expand your storage capacity
Soft keypad makes SMSing a great pleasure...
you can set any MP3 song as ringtone Beats that to having just plain vanilla polyphonic tunes
Sound Recorder helps you capture sound bytes which in turn can be used as ringtone - brilliant !
A DKU-2 cable helps you connect to the PC and do file transfers etc..The phone comes with a Nokia PC Suit installation CD. Not tried yet. the cable costs about an additional Rs.1500 /-
You can access the MMC card via GALLERY - on the top of the list it should show a sign of a memory card- everything in there is on the MMC card. If that helps.
Not tried to password protect the photo gallery - I don’t know if u can do that?
Over and all - Brilliant phone. Pricey but give you money’s value in every way.
UPDATE: It costs about Rs.16, 500 in the local market - I saw it online on bazee.com although I got a cousin of mine to buy it from Dubai for me...so it was much cheaper something like Rs.14, 500 in conversion.
