Nokia has just launched the 6230i so I assume that this set will not be in production. But before writing its Eulogy I would like to clear some things.
First off... It’s UNFAIR to compare it with 6600, since 6600 is a smart phone with prime emphasis on PIM features and 6230 is a mobile phone, with primary emphasis on Voice only.
But, since so much bad blood has already been spilled I don’t thing another comparison would hurt any one.
A- 6230 supports MP3 inherently, and hence playing MP3’s on it is a breeze. I upgraded my card to 256 Mb and now I use it as a MP3 player also.
B- Its much faster than 6600, any 6600 would know what I mean.
C- Technically the Cameras on both the phones are the same. The zoom feature is just ornamental- i.e. its just digital zoom, not actual zoom. It means that the phone just magnifies a portion of the original picture.
D- 6230 is much lighter in weight and much smaller than 6600
E- 6230’s screen is of the same resolution as that of the 6600.
