As good as its word.....6230 upgraded

I totally mean the title this time. 6230i is really an upgraded version of 6230. Nokia kas upgraded the camera from 640x480 (yuck) to 1.3 Megapixel (wow) and various other improvements like a central push button has been introduced, and...IrDa is present (infra red) A good phone, really belongs to the Nokia business line. Someone had written that there is a 1 min recording cap, THATS WRONG, after your 1 min gets over, the recorder automatically switches over to the 60 min cap.

It offers all the possible means of communication, bluetooth, infra red, GPRS etc and has the usual volly of features like a stereo FM Radio and other stuff. One function, the visual radio is operational only in Finland, so better not fall for it, even, push to talk is not yet present in india, but only in a few countries (finland included). thats about some of the good features of this phone, other than that, the only negative that I found was that it DOES NOT SUPPORT WAV FILES, yeah it dusnt. Another annoying thing is that there r no preset groups or group images, in my previous phone (Nokia 3120, revud separately) there were preset groups for friends, family etc and even images for those groups, however we cudnt create new ones in 3120 and while browsing the phonebook, u will find that the groups that u have created pop up as normal names (very irksome) other than that, u cant send any of the copyright stuff from the mobile to any other mobile (a problem from which all of the nokia sets suffer) and u cant even delete that stuff, which is copyrighted. The connectivity with ur pc is good, support by the pc suite which supports USB cable, bt and ir. one of the other non useful features is the voice taging. Even if the phone recognises it correctly, it takes 10 secs to dial the number, in that time I wud rather search from the phone book and dial it and it seriously never recognises it correctly.

If u r a music buff and keep listening to the radio or the inbuilt player, KINDLY BUY 2 BATTERIES (1 included) coz the battery life of this phone really sucks, it wont even last half a day with ur radio on for an average of 3 hours and even otherwise not more than 2 days in standby mode. and yeah....get a new more spaced mem card because the 64 MB dusnt hold much.
