Very exiciting music magnet

Dear all,

I have been looking for a good handset which could satisfy my implied needs of viz: a good music player, a good camera which could take print quality prints, a good screen which can be flaunt with pride, a good battery backup, a good memory capacity with off course a hot swappable memory card slot. I came across MOKIA 6233 and was astonished to see the performance and purchased it as soon as it was launched. Now this is a phone which is non smartphone but can put even smartphones in its category to shame. It boasts up S-40 User interface plateform which is improved version of old jave based traditional phones of Nokia and some innovative things have been introduced in it. It is identical in terms of features to NOKIA 6131 + 3G + 2 MP Camera+good battery Backup. It took me some time to decide between NOKIA 6131, 6680, 6181 Nokia N-series N-70, N-72 and 6233 ( which one should I buy.)

This phone has extraordinary music playback feature through its Stereophonic speakers and supports all music formats eAAC, eAAC+, AMR, MP3 and comes with a Nokia PC suite CD through we can compress MP3 files to 1/3 rd the size in eAAC+ where we can store 750 songs in a Micro SD card of 1GB( it supports up to 1 GB capacity cards) that we have to purchase seperately.

Videos can be recorded in VGA format which gives good results than most commonly brands do in QCIF formats. The battery back up is excellent with BP6M as the battery used.Bluetooth and Infrared are a breeze to use.The FM radio is good and can be played through external speakers as well.

I recommend this phone to those users strongly who wants to get rid of smartphones common problems of BUGS, Hangups and Hiccups. However there are some shortfalls which I wish to mention 1 the phone supports only 500 contacts in phone memory which is not worthwhile.2 For transferring through bluetooth from another phone the file is transferred in the phones internal memory so some space has to be kept vacant in order to accomodate it , however it can then be transferred to card menory after transfer (less internal memory).3 The contrast of screen cannot be adjusted as to one’s taste.4 No softwares can be downloaded in this as it does not support symbian plateform , however, all important features are already provided in it but it lacks the versatality of a SMARTPHONE.5 The font on screensaver mode is ultra small which is barely visible. 6 When the theme is changed the phone user settings as ’ ring tone, msg tone etc all go to factory settings and have to be configured again each time. 7 It lacks a front camera thus it cannot be claimed to serve the true purpose of a 3G video conferencing instead one have to sit with a piece of mirror to play tricks in order to conduct a face to face video conferencing , which is in the offing in our country soon.8 The sales pack offers only 64 MB micro SD card which is less at least it should be equipped with a connecting cable CA 53 Rs 350/- and 512 MB Micro Sd card in a price tag of 13, 800/-. 9 Last the speaker volume is less while on calls it can be made loud to serve the purpose of those who work in a noisy environment.
