Nice one for CDMA

Its almost a week I purchased this beauty. its definetly the best available CDMA handset apart from motoRazr. I have been following various forums and other reviews for de handset.

it comes with charger, battery, hadn strap, cleaning cloth, 64mb sd card, extension cable for using older nokai chargers, cd rom with pc suite & hand free cable. NO PC CABLE......

Nobody will ever realise that its reliance phone. its very similar nokia 6280. I replace my older handset LG 6130. I was happy with that but it started giving me problem.

to start with:

Phonebook: it can store 500 contacts in phone and 250 in SIm and nearly 5 nos in each contact. the handset is RUIM enabled which nothing but a SIM in any gsm phone. so thats a lot.

the network reception is also good

Display: its nice and clear screen. the colours and brightness is realy cool. only prob you cannot change the banner. there are "indirect ways" to do it. I havent tried it.

Camera: the camera quality is good. its not the best but its good. there are better cameras available in the same price. but ocmpare to other cdma phones, its good. you can even have video recording for unlimited perioed using memory card.

Opertaion: the most of the operations are similar any nokia phone. I had little problem to get aquinted with it as I was using LG handsets for last three years.. its little slow if there is no network. other wise the speed is good. the sound quality is also good. unlike LG, the sound is very clear and not "loud". not like what we say in hindi "awaaz fat rahi he".

the key lock cannot be activated without sliding it up. however you can unlock it. there is automatic keyguard.

i found loud speaker for handsfree quite good. if you dont hold the phone properly then other side will have problem in hearing you using handfree speaker/mic.

radio is also good.

you can browse any website (wap) from the phone. it also support r-connect and r -world. r-connect is alsp possible through bluetooth.

the battery drains fast. and if you transfer files using bluetooth then its even faster.

i have loaded 512mb card without any problem and phone works fine. some have also loaded 1gd and they say it works fine. when you connect data cable, the handset will ask whether you want to use as mass storage (similar to pen drive) or want to connect to nokia PC suite. I used nokia 6280 cable as my niece has it. I need not buy separate cable for this phone.

the bluetooth and IR (infra red) are realy good. I transferred contacts from palm using IR and some contacts from my brother and niece cell using bluetooth. the battery will be drained if you use bluetooth for longer period.

the only prob is they should have included pc cable and some way to transfer phonebook from existing handsets to this one.

it supports themes of nokia 6280 (gsm). I have downloaded.

i didnt found any problem except when there is no network and battery. it drains fast. probably a day.
