I owned a 6230i before and bought a 6300 as a replacement, around 1 year ago.
DESIGN: The phone is very good looking, with the best design Nokia has ever created(upto now). The partial steel body makes it attractive as well as durable.
BATTERY LIFE: Unfortunately its rather low, if you use the music player/radio/camera/video features. Youll have to recharge everyday. But then if you use all the features heavily, I think most phones would have similar battery life(maybe just slightly more). so I do not mark this as a bad point for this phone.
FEATURES / APPS: Good user interface(always a hallmark of Nokia phones), but the Series 40 OS means that you can only use Java MIDP applications.
MEMORY: Supports upto 2GB on micro SD card, but Im using a 1GB card on it. good enough to store lots of songs and video clips :-)
CONNECTIVITY: Network connectivity is standard and decent enough. Bluetooth is also good. The phone has a standard micro-USB port which is excellent(uses the same USB cable as digital cameras, etc).
CAMERA: 2 Megapixels, ok for a mobile cam. Forget about using it at night, even the "Night mode" is useless. Youll get half-decent pictures/videos only on a sunny day, in lots of natural light. The "Sepia" effect looks particularly good.
GPRS / BROWSER: Its got EDGE but I hardly use the phones in-built web-browser(its not very good). I use Opera Mini for surfing the net on my phone.
SOUND: The phone is just not loud enough. If youre sitting at home/office with no ambient noise, its ok. but if youre travelling in a bus or train youll hardly be able to hear anything.
OVERALL: Good design, good value for money. but dont buy it if you need to use the phone in noisy surroundings.
