Hey its no phone...Its a PDA, a mini computer....You need to know a lot more to use a 6600 than using your desktop PC.
Some of the useful stuff what the 6600 has which is very well seen are its:
External speakers (no need to mention that I know)
A beautiful theme manager
Connection Manager
A File Manager which was absent in the previous models
ARM Processor running at 104 MHz
And the best of all Symbian OS 7
I really dont know if there is a section on the Symbian OS here, but I would like to talk about it here, as this phone has it.
Not many phones in the world boast of Symbian OS, but as far as I am concerned this is the best OS for any mobile phone, atleast of the mobiles I have used.
You can literally change and use all the components of your mobile phone with the use of the software which can be written for Symbian. Usually Symbian softwares are written in C++ etc.
Some of the softwares for Symbian OS are really amazing, that you would really feel is this is a phone or something else. One of that kind is a game called Sky Force. Amazing graphics, real time control, and amazing sound...
Seen Doom 3D, one of the most famous 3D games ever made. It is available for Symbian phones. Graphics in 3D, all controls and all weapons, sounds incredible, and with cheats enabled too.
This OS can also run something called as a Quick Office. Its a stripped down version, I should say, of Office software which we use in our desktop. Also an official Adobe PDF reader from Adobe website itself is available.
Theme Editor software to create your own themes. A boasting 1 GB supportable memory slot and a well designed phone with 65k display.
This is only the tip of the ice berg, there is more like converting your 6600 into an universal remote control, a bluetooth chat machine, an answering machine or an Spy camera.
Hope u liked this article. If you need more details on software capabilities, I can write more.
