If you are into multimedia such as digital photography and video, this phone is one you should seriously consider. It?s more of a little digital imaging suite with a phone added on. The camera has a resolution of 640 by 480 pixels ? one of the highest currently available on phones ? which is perfect for photographing. The images are of such a good quality that you can print them out on your colour photo printer and they?ll look as good as any photo.
Also included is a video recorder, which allows you to capture video and audio. The resolution is not as good as for the digital photos, but it?s still great for emailing, for showing over the Internet or for sending to other compatible mobiles.
Nokia have also included a video editing program on the phone itself, which allows you to edit your videos on the go. All of this is either stored on the internal memory of the phone, which is only 6M (this has to hold all your contacts etc.), but you also have the option of inserting a SD
memory card to expand the storage capacity of the phone. You should seriously consider this option if you choose this phone, as it runs on the Sybian operating system. This operating system has a huge community following on the Internet, so you can download lots of extra programs for your phone such as games, themes and even TV remote controls for your phone.
The phone is very easy to use. It?s bulky, but this means there?s room for large buttons and a large 65, 536-colour LCD screen with a 176 by 208-pixel resolution that produces clear and crisp images. The Sybian operating system is very easy to navigate and everything is clearly labelled and user-friendly.
The phone supports Bluetooth connections (great for sending your photos and film clips to other Bluetooth devices), infra-red, GPRS for Internet and emailing, as well as SMS and MMS messaging. The phone also has Nokia?s great loudspeaker, which means you can sit the phone on your desk and talk hands-free. A lot of phones do this these days, but this one does it really well.
