The Most Unreliable

I have been using this phone for the past one year or so. My first reaction to this phone after using this will be ‘not so good’. Let me categorize my review into various sections:

Features;

This phone has list of features sound like number of songs in Hindi films; as you may rightly think some of them are unwanted! 1. Tri-Band GSM 2. GPRS Capabilities. 3. WAP & all the craps. 4. Bluetooth 5. Memory expansion upto 1 GB 6. PDA Capabilities 7. Camera 8. Video Recording 9. Bright display. 10. et al..

For those who are planning to buy this now may need to think as many times as Sachin scored hundreds in test match cricket. This is NOT EDGE capable nor a 3G phone. Very less RAM (6 MB) and the performance is really bad. GPRS connection through workstations work fine but when you try to browse through the phone it behaves like the power-grid coming through Maharashtra.

Usability:

This phone is really simple to use just like any of the Nokia phones. It has Numeric key pad, Alphanumeric key pad; very handy while composing SMS and email messages. Bluetooth and GPRS connection settings are very easy.

Reliability:

This is the biggest factor which I am against this phone. I have been using Mobile phones since 1999. This phone incidentally the most expensive of all is the most Unreliable. I am not sure if this phenomenon can be attributed to the brand or just this make? Because, this is the first time I am using Nokia. There are serious Software/Hardware issues which need to be addressed.

This phone will die down many times without giving you any warnings.

Performance:

Totally unusable if you are going to browse WAP sites through this phone; Otherwise, the performance is average if not very bad.

Battery life is not really good compared to Sony Ericsson phones.

Design:

This is a quite eye catching phone which has many replaceable parts and useful accessories. Entire phone looks cheap with its plastics. Considering the price, this phone must have been built using more stable materials.

Verdict:

If you are thinking of purchasing a new state of the art mobile phone, this can be given a ROYAL skip. There are better phones out there; especially with much more data capabilities (Data speeds) and much more features like Music, Video streaming etc…
