Amazing Phone & Truly Professional

Professionalism is what this Nokia handset is all about. Nokia 6610, released soon after the launch of 7250, has the same 4096 colored screen but its with a difference. And I cant tell u that difference, u have to feel it for urself. You can take a 7250 and a 6610 and compare the display and see for urself. You will be amazed to see the display of 6610, take my word for it.

My Experience with Nokia 6610

I bought my Nokia 6610 some 2 months back for 14k and guys, its worth it. Thats why Nokia is The Best. At Nokia they call it the ’’Human Technology’’. okay guys enough of this advertisement stuff. Let me get back to its features. It professional look will just drive u crazy. Its available in 5 different changeable colors, but I guess not much variety is available in the market. The white and the black body covers are cool. Its a tri-band phone. The screen resolution is just too good. It has the 4-way scroll key button that helps u browse with easy and edit messages easily. The phonebook has a capacity of 300 as usual.

The important feature of this cellfone is that it has a storage memory of 625kb for u to store ur images and ringtones. It can be connected to ur PC by a cable or even to ur Laptop with the IR port and its too good. I regularly download new wallpapers and ringtones from my laptop to my 6610 using the IR connectivity. You can even download and install various java applications and games widely available using the connection with the PC and the software got along with the handset.

It has the new pop port connection on which u can connect ur headset or even the camera accessory. The handsfree kit comes along with the package but the Nokia Camera has to be bought from the market for something around 4000. Polyphonic ringtones are all the rage these days, and the 6610 definitely delivers. Ring tones are played through a speaker rather than an ordinary buzzer. This means you get improved sound quality for music, alerts, and games. Proof of the better sound can be heard through the included FM headset. It needs to be plugged into the 6610 in order to access its menu. Once plugged in, its menu lets you present 20 channels or tune to stations. The excellent sound quality is in stereo, and the same headset can be used as a handsfree device. It also has an Integrated Handsfree Speaker that lets u take the incoming call even without the going thru the hassles of connecting the handsfree kit and taking it to ur ear. Ah... the loudspeaker.

Best Feature

Quite possibly the best feature on this phone. I can’t say enough about it. You won’t come to fully appreciate a good loudspeaker until you’ve used one and then had it taken away from you. Anyways, the loudspeaker is nice and loud. It’s even loud enough to be used as a portable radio. The loudspeaker mode when switched on, consumes a little more battery, but certainly is very useful in certain situations. The clarity of the sound is good even in the loudspeaker mode. It has other regular features like WAP, GPRS, MMS enabled, HSCSD, an integrated Radio FM, alarm clock, dictionary for predictive input. It has an enhanced Calendar with To-Do notes.

Last but not the least...

I forgot to mention that it can store upto 150 SMS messages. This is where most of the customization is handled. Wallpaper, screen savers, and color schemes are among the multimedia features of the 6610. One thing that makes the 6610 versatile is the ability to install Java applications. There are two applications preinstalled on the phone, Dictionary and Converter. Other applications can be downloaded and installed. So the possibilities are endless. Its basically a truly professional phone. Overall, I think this is a good phone. The RF reception is great, and the software bundle is top of the line. The height of professionalism as defined by NOKIA.
