Good Looking Phone

Nokia 6610

It was in the month of November that I last had the opportunity of using my Samsung R220, because I managed to drop it in the sea for a picnic that I had gone to?.

Well this mishap caused me to look for a new cell.

Going by Experience I was looking for the following in my new Cell.

  1. Looks

  2. Latest Models

  3. Functionality

So I had made up my mind to zero in on the Nokia models and then chose the Nokia 6610.

Here is how the Nokia 6610 fit into my description.

  1. Looks:

Looks wise the Nokia is a very classy looking phone. One look at it and anyone can ogle at it. It comes in three colours: Black, White and Silver.

I myself possess the Black one which is the most beautiful looking amongst all the other colors.

A sleek model with a net wt of 85gms only. I myself have to check whether the cell is in my pocket or not because it is very very light.

  1. Latest Model:

At least when I bought it in the month of November it was quite recent enough to be considered latest. At that time it cost around Rs 17000/-. Quite a sum but got it for Rs 12000/- with Bill and Warranty plus insurance. Plus it had a host of other amazing functionalities which are discussed next.

  1. Functionality

Now that I was done with the physical attributes it is time for the inner qualities.

It is JAVA enabled phone with GPRS Capabilities. It has a built in Stereo FM Radio and Portfolio Manager and Currency converter.

It has MMS capabilities and that means sending voices and text along with graphics as a message to your friends.

Also Polyphonic Ring tones makes you feel like you are enjoying a concert. The ringer goes on and everybody around you is paying attention to you (with envy of course).

It is GPRS enabled which enables to access web services like checking your mails without hassles. GPRS also helps in downloading polyphonic ring tones and wallpapers.

Also Infra Red port helps in connecting to your PC with an IrDA port.

It has a soft touch keypad which makes typing and dialing very easy. Also you can enable short cut keys to specific numbers for dialing.

Voice clarity is very good and the addition of a speaker phone makes matters even more better.

And battery life..well what to say...charge it up full and can go for 4 days without charging again....pretty good huh!!!

One major problem is that the memory capacity for this phone is very less and if you have to add newer wallpapers and ringtones you have make place my replacing the older ones which is something your really dont want to do....and then there is no possibility of adding an add-on card which would then have been very helpful...

But still a wonderful phone.......
