Nokia Nokia Nokia...I don’t know how many people out there swear by the name of Nokia in the world of cell phones I was one of them...mounted my pocket money to 14 thousand 8 hundred and 50 (about 1.5years back) and bought my heart desired nokia 6610...just loved it..the way it sounded..the way it used to shine in the sun ...the way people noticed when I used it... initially I kept it as my most prized possession. But as they say ’a girl born beautiful is half married’ so was the phone...the service center people didn’t allow me to be with it .
1# it had a problem of auto switch off and never turned on till it went to a service centre
2# its software hung many times
3# its display used to fade off sometimes(this was ok but I was concerned)
4# I couldn’t hear the callers voice clear(i dont mean the operator signal, it was the speaker volume..though on full )
5# it used to go bizzare if kept unattended for about 3-4 days switched on. It took me about 5 rounds to the service centers (all seperate)(not to mention that for each round I had to make on an average of 3 extra visits as the phone was never delivered on time)...last two rounds were paid services of 1200/- and 650/- resp.
I knew the names of the service guys..(they seemed to have befriended me , but I hated their faces) now .... not once did the company of nokia took responsibility of their faulty product ...and always refused to replace the set.(i talked of consumer court blah blah but of no use) always repared it and came up with a different explanation of the fault.. they even advised me to restrict my SMS and MMS as they might contain viruses!???!
I bought this phone from an authorised nokia dealer but of no use..(its all a myth about getting true original n no smuggled...nokia themselves are well dressed looters) now I know what you must be thinking....THAT WHY DIDN’T A SELL THIS PHONE?! it was because everytime I stepped out of that nokia service centre..i was assured and completely assured of it working absolutely fine!!!and I thought why to sell it off now as the market rate is down and its working now and i’ll again spend lots of money to get a new one...but I felt CHEATED...really cheated if you are nokia fun forget this review completely as you wont even feel what I mean to express prefer going for
