Brains and Looks - a good Combo!

The Nokia 6610 is a very good combination of features and looks/aesthetics. I have typically found it difficult to get both in one package - even from Nokia. But with the 6610 I think they are a step closer to achieving it.

The phone is light and not large (though there are models from other brands which are smaller - but not much lighter).

The screen/display is bright and the colours are lovely - not garish like many other phones. The colour tones are natural. The display size/shape is good enough and so are the default fonts.

The keys are large enough to suit most people and are light to the touch. The satin steel finish to the keys are a superb touch. They add class and not crass. The battery life is good too.

The tones (ring/alert) are the usual package of old and new.

The menu / navigation is easy enough for a first time user to manage and master rapidly.

The speaker phone combined with the FM radio is a great feature and I wish more and more phones offer it.

I must point out though that the back cover does click open while the phone is being handled and it is a bit unsettling to see it slightly open at times. One must be careful not to press at or around the edges at the top of the phone. The black covers give the phone a very quiet elegant look (no purple or pink or orange covers available!).

All in all a Good Phone.
