Hi am Sidharth. To give you a taste of my choice I must say I used to be in love with SET610/630. But due to some reasons (market issues), I had to select a Nokia. After checking out some models I was zeroed in on Nokia 6610. But much to my surprise when I received the box, it was a 6610i. First I thought, its not a popular model in Nokia family, and hence was not so much excited about the cam I got. But in a course of time I started loving it, as every time I hold it in my hands, I find something interesting, that I didn’t noticed before. To tell you some zoom, slide show, speaker phone, photo phone book & many many more.
NOTE:Although SonyEricsson gives a lot of facilities, Nokia can beat it in reception strength, ruggedness & most important resale value(which is especially essential in our case, as we change our handsets frequently).
Again the cam was actually far better than I expected & especially from the various forums I read before buying the handset. It’s night mode is a nice feature, it enhances the brightness automatically, which lets you take some good pics in low light situations.
FM again was a great thing to have even when you are out of service(no network).
Compatibility with PC was a bare essential for me, as I spend 25 hours a day in front of my 17’’ display. Both cable(faster) & infrared is there. 4mb memory is far better that, the non cam 6610’s & other models. Believe me you may have the notion that it sounds low compared to some newer models, but you can manage that in a efficient manner & still have loads of free space to play around with Java Applications, games, ringtones & offcourse WALLPAPERS.
Last but not the least, I believe in things that are different, I believe in setting trends & as per me having a similar handset, which is owned by a number of people( so called best selling), doesn’t really mean much to me.
