The 6610 was a SUPERhit model ! the 6610 was one of the highest selling models of nokia. it was launched at a time when most people had still been using outdated phones without color screens or polyphonic ringtones and even GPRS. this one had changed it all. this was back in 2002.
cut to the present. nokia 6610i was launched in 2004. at a time when the nokia 6600 was ruling the mobile market. when mobile LCDs were as good as computer screens and technology had embraced EDGE, mobile mp3 players, bluetooth and other geekish things. compared to all of this, the 6610i seems rather outdated with its age old series 40 symbian OS, and pretty much pathetic display. the camera isnt much worth talking about either.
the nokia 6610i has a camera that couldnt shoot a bird in broad daylight in full color. clarity is nothing worth mentioning and overall the phone has nothing different from all the other nokias out there. the 6610 created a revolution, the 6610i created an example how an outdated will always remain an outdated specially in the world of mobile phones.
in terms of features the 6610i has an color screen 4096 color LCD, a polyphonic ringer, an FM stereo and a camera thats good for nothing.
i dont think you’d wanna buy it when you can get better phones at the same price. look at the samsung models in the same price range and you’ll know what I am talking about!
