As usual a lot of research went into buying this phone. I always do that, about everything I plan to buy. I end up not buying most of the things I craved for depending on the results. Nokia 6630 was not one among them, cos I bought it and am happy that I bought it. I has 3 or 4 models in mind, I had already made up my mind to try a Nokia phone this time around because my previous phone was a Sony Ericsson. The models I shortlisted are Nokia 6630, Nokia 6681 and N70. Apart from this I was also interested in Sony Ericsson K750i. I could eliminate Nokia 6681 first because I didnt find much login in paying about 3 to 4K more than 6630 for the same very featires except a better shape. The screen resolution was the same even though 6681 promised more colours in its display. K750i lost out even though it had a better camera because it ws not a smart phone. N70..because it was oriced too high and moreover better models were already announced and would be coming in very soon. paying 25 or more for that phone didnt make sense either.
Nokia 6630 has a good battery backup. With normal usage of about 2 hrs talking perday with bluetooth on for abt an hour it works for nearly 2 days. Is very customisable, with mp3 ringtones, wall papers and themes. The signal reception is good, typical of Nokia products. The speakerphone sound and clarity is also good.
The only peeve against this mobile is its shape and maybe a bit bully for girls and people with small hands. But hey! its got a hell lot of features, can download a large number of applications and games. Is very fast, and on the whole a good phone. I would recommend it to friends.
