Recently during my trip to the UAE I purchased the Nokia 6670. The model has just been released in India. The Nokia 6670 replaced my earlier model 8310.
My intention of picking this model was to have a phone and a powerful organiser rolled in one. The Nokia 6670 meets the purpose.
Briefly let me first describe the model ... It is a camera phone with image/video facility, GPRS, MMS, Bluetooth, Personal organiser and more. It comes with an 8MB phone memory and 64 MB reduced size memory card. It supports polyphonic and a host of other sounds and of course it has a big color display.
The best part of the phone is its CONTACT (address) feature. For each contact you can store multiple telephone nos. (i.e. Home/Office), mobile nos., Address (Office/Home), fax, e-mail address, web address and notes. It is so flexible that even the Label (e.g. Tel. Office) can be edited. So if you are storing a company contact details you can have multiple telephone nos. stored as Tel.(Board), Tel.(Marketing), Tel.(Support) etc. Further you can add thumbnail picture of the contact. This is useful as the picture of the person appears when he/she calls.
The phone has the ability to spruce it up with Themes, Wallpaper etc.
Activate the GPRS facility and you can log on the Internet and surf through News, download wallpapers, themes, games, tones etc.
Of course connectivity through Bluetooth makes it possible to shares files between bluetooth enabled mobiles and other devices including your PC.
The 1 megapixel image is quite clear and there is a photo editor to work on the image. Video recording of upto 10 Min. is possible.
Sending an SMS is simply fun with a note pad type layout to help in quick writing. Another useful feature of the mobile is the Wallet. You can store details of your credit cards, passport details, insurance policies, PAN cards, Drivers license in a very secure fashion.
However I found that the model did not come with any game built into it. I had to download from the Internet.
This mobile is an All in One - Cell phone, Organiser, Camera. You need not carry a PDA with the mobile. It is Mobile cum PDA. It even has the ability to display Word/Excel/Powepoint files. For the man on the move Nokia 6670 is the best.
