Communication made simpler

The Nokia 6681 is one phone that is not only feature rich, but also very user friendly and downright practical. I brought my phone last diwali and trust me, I have not had any occassion to complain at all. The phone comes packaged with a CD and once you install the software to your computer, transferring files, data, music, photos is a breeze.

The display on the phone is pretty wide - more than the average size for any comparable phones available in the market. The user has the ability to customise the default options that he sees on the display screen. The phone plays music of almost any format. My IPAQ owning friends were really glum when they realised that my nokia plays a few formats that are not supported by their high end possessions.

The Camera is pretty ok, and this is one of the very few phones that comes with a Flash. Picture quality is pretty good and the photos can easily be enlarged to Maxi size. The video recording time could have been more - presently it offers only 1 minute of video recording, which I feel is very less.

It is very easy to use the Bluetooth feature. I would have loved it if the phone also had IR reception enabled. But since my Laptop is blue tooth enabled, I am not complaining.

The only problem with this phone is the Symbian OS has the habit of "hanging" if we leave too many applications running. Of course, this is a known issue with the Symbian phones and not something that is particular to the Nokia 6681.

I would advise people to upgrade to the 1GB SD card (it costs around 8k in india, I got it from Bangkok for about 1.5k!!!) Once this is done, there is no end to the data that can be stored on the phone.

Happy Communicating!!!
