NOKIA 7610
Ever since nokia released their first ever camera phone the 7650 they have been launching high end camera phones at regular intervals. So now comes the 7610 which is by the way the first ever megapixel integrated cam phone from nokia ( now you know where the kareena and shahid as well as the dps scandal movie was shot from)
So what to look out form this new model
WATCH FOR
THE LOOKS
Nokia is always known for giving its phones a unique design and 7610 is no exception although they did recieve some flak for some of their series 60 phone like the 3650(weird keypad) and 6600(bulky), the 7610 suffers from no such problems.
The design is basically of a mirrored leaf with very funky keypad layout. although some may take a bit of time getting used to it it still is very good. Also the external panel is dual colored and a mirror is there in the back for no specific reason overall from the looks point of view 7610 is a winner all the way
SYMBIAN OS
So what exactly is symbian os ? it is the software that the phone runs on much like microsoft windows that powers your pc’s , symbian is the surely the future of all phone models and its easy to use as well.also the series 60 phones aloow a ton of third party softwares to be installed to your phone which might make your phone an all in one gizmo , trust me there are times when youll completely forget that your using a phone.
CAMERA
The 7610’s biggest selling point is that first time nokia have used a mega pixel cam and the difference can be easily seen , the pictures are taken at higher resolution and the image quality is way better than other series 60 phones. also the cam includes a 4x zoom and nightvision too. There also is a 10 minute videorecorder in which the quality is just as good.
APPLICATIONS
Due to the platform on which the phone is made a large no of applications and games can be installed on it. It might be of .sis or java (.jar) format, the phone also comes with a couple of neat apllication like the movie creator, which is used for making short stylised movie of your current clips. Also included is a nokia’s lifeblog which stores and sets all your pics, sms’s etc in chronological order. Also there are a number of other applications too
MEMORY
Memory card that comes with the phone as standard is 64mb rs-mmc is actually reduced size mmc it is used for storing pics. The phone also has an internal memory of itself which is 8 mb

Also for transfer there is a usb support and forget infrared while buying this phone , its not there even for name-sake infra-red is history
DONT LOOK
FM RADIO
This hurts the phone big time because basically right from the looks to the built in applications the phone is targeted at teenagers and fm radio is not even present in it , although there is a way by which you can litsen to radio , it requires a gprs connection.
EDGE
Now a next generation phone ought to have this but , sadly this dosen’t although the potential of edge has been used to the full in india it will be soon when companies will.
To be honest if you are upgrading to this from a nokia 6600 then you wont find anything great in it but for anyone else this should do the trick
Also the whole nokia package in which it comes is neat and do watch out for the app called welcome inside your phone it really fine way to know what your phone can do
