Didn't expect that from Nokia!!

I recently joined Mouthshut.com for the sole purpose of making myself heard. I bought Nokia 7610 Supernova on 13th December, 2008. It worked fine for the first 1-2 months. On February 6th, 2009; It’s power key stopped working. I removed the battery to switch it off and restart, but then realized the power key wasn’t working, so couldn’t switch it on as well !

Somehow, in the evening , I switched it on. Then, 2-3 days later, it’s music key, volume keys stopped working, as well as the headset port stopped recognizing the headset(earplugs) when inserted.

So, I took the phone to Original Nokia Care center with a hope that it’s a very reputed company, and will repair the phone easily.

All my hopes shattered.

  1. I entered the Care center, they gave me a coupon. I had to wait. and it took 2 hours for my turn to come!

2.I told them the problem, and they re-installed the software..asked me to wait , and I waited for another 2 hours till I got my phone back. It was working fine.

Just after 2 days , the problem came back.

I went again, this time they said it’s a problem with the machine, so they sent it to the company.

It came back after a week, and I took it home. Problem came back the very next day.

And so it was repeated.Till now, I have visited the Nokia Care center almost 10 times, twice it has been repaired and came back from the company, but the problem persists.

What I find most irritating is that they make you wait for 2-3 hours, and still, no solution is given. I e-mailed them too, they always reply with a positive e-mail that they’ll ’look into the matter’! I don’t know how much more do they have to ’look’!

My phone is still under warranty, but am helpless. I also have the job sheet (repair ) number of 4 repairs ( I started noting the down these numbers after realizing I might have to go to them again n again) What’s the use of a phone of which you can’t control the volume, can’t switch off/on, and can’t listen to the songs with earphones??

All this, after spending 11000, which might be a very small amount for the company, but definitely bothers me. I have used other phones as well... no phone/company troubled me like this! Please give any suggestions/feedback...
