This phone may not suit everybody. You need to have the following qualifications! 1) wanna show off your expensive phone 2) dare to carry a big phone(what’s the use of having a ’’compact’’ phone+a bag full of notepad, pen, calculator, gaming console, Ipod, diary, photo album etc?) 2) wanna watch movies on the big yet portable screen 3) wanna substitute for your PC on the move 4) don’t type too much messages(or if you can afford to buy a separate Nokia bluetooth qwerty keyboard). We generally forward more messages than we type. 5) have Rs18, 000 to 20, 000 in your pocket. 6) have the patience to learn the uses of the buttons on the phone(Believe me you don’t need the stylus to do every thing) 7) wanna show your pictures to friends in style(the inbuilt pic editor can help you get fullscreen view) 8) forget the default video player. get a smart movie player 9) not swayed by various comments. Jealous people will always try to put down the phone. But i’ve also had equally rude but consoling appreciations like TV guy, Brickstone(sure U can use it like one!), entertainment, slate, computer, etc. One thing that makes me happy is that good or bad nobody ever missed to glance at this phone. 10) finally have the patience to walk with a turtle. Believe me you will soon become a monk! I will not leave this phone though it is slow ’cause it has so many features. People seem to have issues with this phone. But I guess I’m one of those lucky ones to have this marvelous piece still working fine. I would like to explain certain things about this phone. The huge screen is great for gaming. I love to play Sega game roms in the picodrive sega game emulator(need to download). The phone mimics N-gage. The visual radio depends on the FM service. Radio mirchi seems to bring it to india. TV feature needs Nokia SU-22 device to be installed in the phone(I don’t know the cost). Even if you manage to get one, you need someone to broadcast the special signals it needs(DVB-H). I rather record the programs from my PC and transfer to the phone. USB connectivity to PC needs SP2 to be installed. Otherwise your phone will not be detected. Don’t blame the phone for that. I generally use Bluetooth instead. It is also reliable. The phone could have come with a keypad. But imagine the weight if it did come with one! To get the right video in Smart movie, U need to encode the movie in to a 304X144 12FPS AVI Xvid format movie. I use Xilisoft converter. Don’t forget to get a scrach guard as soon as you buy the phone or your heart will break. See what happens to the scratchguard once you begin to use it! I made my own Phone to speaker set connector out of a duplicate headset. Now I can play music on my huge speakers. Awesome. Who needs a walkman phone for that? Its 90 MB inbuilt memory, is an excellent idea. Imagine the number of messages, contacts, pictures, alerts, documents you can have here. Its all shared that means there is no limit of messages. You also can expand memory to upto 1GB external memory like me. I have no problem. It comes with a free specially designed pouch. Always have the phone in it. Ignore comments! Don’t allow anyone to misuse the phone. Take care of the camera because the pouch does not protect it once it is opened. I use tissue paper to cover the lense. Its upto you to enjoy this phone. Believe me there ARE softwares available for this phone. If you have any problem go to nokia website and place your complaint. Believe me They are great, caring and respond immediately. Don’t ever take this phone to any place other than Nokia priority or professional in case you have a problem. Believe me the way the ’’professionals’’ handled my phone gave me heatache. I received my phone with screen filled with finger prints. Thank God I used scratch gaurd even before giving it for service. Speaking of service, I gave my phone for a firmware upgrade. Otherwise my phone was fine. Even after the upgrade, I did’nt notice much difference. All I can say about the phone is its an allrounder. It gives you a taste of everything not specializing in anything. It fits into any category of phone. I call it ’’The Thing’’! So if you want a slim phone get this. Slim? yes consider its height, width and breadth. Its Slim!!!!
