Cute and powerful

I tend to change my cellphone every six months or so. However after I got the Nokia 8310 I have decided to keep it for a long time. The phone is jam packed with all the regular Nokia features like calculator, Appointment book, Games and besides it’s got FM radio. What more could a guy want?

But there’s more. It has WAP capabilities and is the first Nokia phone with GPRS. For those who aren’t aware, GPRS is an always on internet connection through your cellphone. It is faster than WAP and the 8310 can be used along with your pocket PC, Laptop or computer as a modem to directly connect to the net.

In Mumbai BPL provides GPRS services and though a bit slow right now it is expected to be faster than landline dialup access.

For those more concerned with talk times etc., the phone battery lasts for 2 days with normal use. It has good reception and the voice is very clear.

The phone looks sleek with a great white back light and has many changable covers. It also has downloadable ringtones, logos and picture messaging. All this in a phone smaller than your palm. My advice JUST BUY IT.
