Everything has two sides one is good and another is bad. This phone has many good aspects, please read the specification or read the product features from Nokia site. You will definitely get impressed. However this attempt is to bring bad side of this phone in to the light which will help you in taking your decision.
Before purchasing this product, I have gone through specifications of several others, and found that this product contains most of the features bundled in one, so I purchased it for Rs12, 400/- (location-Mumbai, date-21 apr 2011). It’s almost 3 weeks I intensively used and tried to analyze most of its features.
This phone is not so stylish, looks little bulky (16 mm width), the old style black colored body will not able to impress my friends [note-I have black one, the white one may looks better, but since it is white, it’s good for girls not for boys]. However at back side the camera & LED flash looks good. So due to looks this phone may be good for businessman/employees but not good for college folks.
Features: it has almost every feature, but with average performance. Also there is not any feature with top class quality.
Some of the bad points I experienced-
Battery life - poor (max 1 day in normal usage / in high usage may not last more than 6-8 hr)
Camera - 5 mp (lacks clarity of picture, images looks like taken from very cheap camera, no protection for lens)
Front camera - vga (does its job well for which it’s meant for)
Screen - it fits good resolution in 3 inch size display (it would be wonderful if it has more display size 3.2"- 3.4" with same resolution)
Touch screen - resistive, does its job ok
There is no pleasure feel in using the front 3 keys
Lacks, gaming support from keypad, lacks motion sensor, so you have to use on screen controls
Sometimes hangs us, mainly during complex operations, so requires patience to handle it.
Lack of auto screen rotation as per the viewing position. Only it rotates screen when you open the keypad.
No front powerful speakers, which limits user to use headphones during movie playback
Impossible to read in direct sunlight
Lacks USB charging
In open keypad mode you have to use touch screen for some options. Which may irritate user.
Navigation is through D-pad, don’t have scroll ball/optical sensor to navigate.
Internet browsing some time ambiguous.
OVI store truly sucks
Processor speed is just 434 MHz
Cost: I think I have payed 2k more(Unnecessarily), just for processor speed 434 MHz phone and Symbian OS
In short, if you want most of the new generation features, you can surly go for it. But don’t expect high end performance.
on 17 May 2011:
I have found onemore filthy feature of this model, the ‘side widening’ feature totally screws up the music play back. In my earlier phone (Xpressmusic) it works simply amazing. Also want to add that they have added ‘loudness’ feature in c6 which simple works great, which balance the equation and make me not to sold this piece.
