I purchased a nokia c6, in january, my 3rd nokia phone in less than a year. all my previous phones gave me trouble, except the nokia 5800 that got wet in the rain. my 7 month old nokia c6 suddenly stopped working properly. the screen would go blank if I opened it to type on the QWERTY keypad, and the front camera soon stopped working as well. the call key followed. when I took this to the nokia care centre, they said it had liquid in it and they dont take responsibiliy. I say it now, and will say it again, nokia has good phones but the customer care executives are F)(uking a$sh+Oles. they said that it was probably my sweat, moisture from the air conditioner(AC) or general moisture in the air! thus, would not come under warranty. so basically, the phone, that was once functional, with a few defects, was rendered useless by them, and when I asked them, "how can you make it worse and give it back?" they said you have to accept it. I now, had a phone, not functional, that once was.
The qwerty keypad, is poor, allows sweat to seep in. so basically, the criteria for owning a nokia phone, and for it to function properly are
1. YOU SHOULD NOT SWEAT
2.THERE SHOULD BE NO MOISTURE IN THE ATMOSPHERE
3. YOU CANNOT HAVE THE COMFORT OF SITTING IN AN AIR CONDITIONED ROOM
4. ANYTHING ELSE.
and since I live in india, I dont see how any indian can successfully keep a nokia phone.
the customer care in LAJPAT NAGAR, OVER UNION BANK, NEW DELHI, are clerks, who take the cutomer for granted and will give you any Bull Sh!t to not repair your phone.
So if you are an indian, DO NOT GET A NOKIA PHONE UNLESS YOU PLAN TO CHANGE IT EVERY 6 MONTHS.
THANK YOU
A VERY ANGRY NOKIA CUSTOMER
