Nokia E-50 is a very good GSM mobile handset which is based on Symbian system. It is a Symbian Series 60 device, which is one of the powerful systems as of now. Nokia N series also uses the same system. I use the Black color set. It looks very smart. Not much thick, not too thin. Its 65 million high resolution color display is the most attractive part of it. You never have to look twice to read a message as it produce very clear and sharp text.
The feature includes Infrared, Bluetooth, USB, EDGE support. It also has a in built speaker which can be activated during calls to make it a speaker phone. E-50 supports up to 2GB Micro SD external memory card for further storage besides its 70MB internal memory. It is a cool GPRS set with high speed in built modem. An inbuilt software program will give you access to your favourite e-mail, and you can use it as your e-mail client. So, you always need not to connect www to open your mailbox. You can check, receive and send your e-mails directly using this program. It includes a 1.3 megapixel camera(some sets are available without this feature) which I find an added interest.
It will give you support to read documents which is creatd using Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. It is a nice feature. I use to transfer such files using the bluetooth of my laptop at office and can read it on way. I can also edit those documents after downloading it to my home pc. So, if I want, I can use more time in a day on my work. There are a lot more good features like Calculator, Connecting Wizard, Visual Help for the phone etc. Nokia calls it as a Business Phone.
Some of its bad features I can able to get is its audio recording. It can take only a minute of audio at a streatch. So, to record a long speech, you have to take it part by part. Secondly, if you use its external memory card for storing messages, pictures, videos, etc. then it takes longer time to respond according to your size of memory card.
Anyway overall it is very useful for your money. I love it.
