In this competitive mobile phone market, Nokia has proved that they can also make a wonderphone with loads of features for a very cheap price.
*Outstanding Features
*Big display(320x240), Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G, IR, QWERTY keyboard, Blackberry and loads and loads and loads
Well, its purely a business phone. Thought it got a big display, you cant watch a video with the default video player available in the phone. But, its an amazing phone to do almost all your business activities. Blackberry is a wonderful feature, I havent used it yet as I am using another free third part push mail application for Yahoo!, Gmail and other POP3 mails.
*Software
*I have been using this phone for more than 5 months now. I did have loads of problems like the phone restarts itself while on a call or even when its idle and options button wont work with some of the screens(mainly in gallery and call history). At first I really got pissed off with these but, somehow I managed to upgrade the firmware or OS or what ever it is and after that, wow man its amazing. Everything is working fine now and no problems at all.
The feature called TEAMS is quite a handy tool to send group messages or mail or make conference call(it itself calls all the contacts in the group and makes the conference call).
When you receive an invitation mail for a meeting from Google calendar or Outlook calendar thru this mobile, it automatically integrates the event with the calendar in the mobile along with the reminder.
One more good feature is, when the phone rings you can configure it to say the callers name so that you will know whoz calling and can decide whether to get out of the bed and answer the phone.
If you have left the phone in your office or at home and if you dont want anybody to fiddle with your phone, then send a pre recorded text message to your phone and it will be locked immediately. Now nobody can use your phone unless they know the password. Good one, right?
*Hardware
*The key pad is really good and easy to type an email or message. Its bit uncomfortable when you want to use the numbers until you get used to it.
The navigation key is not of good design as it got sharp edges and it loses its colour soon. Well, we cant expect everything to be perfect when we get so many good things in a single phone that too for a very cheap price.
Camera is ok but its not as good as a 2 megapixel camera should be. Anyway it gives a good picture if its taken in good light.
Bluetooth feature does not support stereo headphones - hey, what the hell? Its a business phone and not a music player.
Battery is good as Nokia promised, but for me when I started to use the third party push mail client, everyday I got to charge the battery.
Speaker is really good and gives a clear output while you play some music or having a conversation with loud speaker on.*
Overall
*It is really a fantastic mobile with loads of wonderful features in it, only thing is you should know how to use it and when to use it. The phone might look bulky but you wont feel that when you start using it.
If you use the features its an amazing phone and if you dont its just as Nokia 1100(no torch in it though).
