It was in November last year that I finally decided to upgrade from my faithful and equally rock solid Motorola ROKR E6 to this, my current NOKIA e71. Albeit, I was waiting for the much powerful NOKIA e72 since October, I opted for this phone after I got tired of waiting for its release. Nevertheless, I have to say that I sure am very satisfied with what this phone has to offer.
Full marks for BATTERY LIFE lasts two full days before its charger needs to be plugged in.
I use it mainly for calls, texting and emailing. Once or twice a month for its built-in GPS through Google Maps which comes in very handy whenever I need to find my way to a new place and it has never failed me.
Though Ive read people complain about its keypad, Ive never found it to be difficult to use, even when im typing out pretty long emails. A little more real estate on the screen would have been an added plus, but then the size of the phone would have increased proportionately.
As regards to its build quality. Ive dropped it half a dozen times, even onto the road, but its never suffered even a minor scratch, which speaks volumes about its robustness. Yes, it does become sluggish and downright unresponsive when you try to multitask, but I guess its due to the processor speed, mainly.
Overall, im glad I opted for this phone, as its given me all I wanted and was looking for, in a phone.
