WELL, I finally shifted from my old phone to a new one after market search and research. and what I got is the BLACK nokia E71. I thought this colour was not launched in India till I got it. the phone is for sure a beauty. I basically dont like the touchscreen phones, because I feel they wont last long.
This phone has a QWERTY keypad, though the keys look small, the curvature is good enough for easy typing. The additional features include a 3.2 mega pixel camera with flash with video recording. another interesting feature is the switch, which means you can have two screens, one for work and one for fun. it comes with Micro-USB connector, full-speed, 2.5 mm Nokia AV connector.
It also has preinstalled quick office where you can create and edit word, excel and powerpoint documents. also loaded with adobe pdf reader. for connectivity we have wlan, bluetooth, infrared and USB(real good job by nokia). google maps works like a dream though nokia maps are free for 3 months. Another cute feature is the wipresenter used for powerpoint presentations.
The battery life is real good.supplied earphones are not great and 2.5mm jack is the only downfall, but a 3.5mm to 2.5mm connector makes life easy.also do remember that the bluetooth connectivity with vista is a bit troublesome and maybe resolved soon by a firmware upgrade.synchronization via USB is quick and you can backup your phone. It also has a inbuilt dictionary, converter etc etc.The phone has won a lot of awards last year.
