I know there are many reviews of the E71 out here, but I thought I’d still post one as I have reviewed it in detail.

I have found the E71 to be a very good phone. It is every bit a head turner. I had a lot of people ask me which phone it was and most of them also said that this handset feels like a phone. The voice clarity of this handset is really good, I was able to talk and hear the other person’s voice in a crowded area without having to shout. The handset was provided to me by WOMWorld/Nokia, UK for trialling purposes. The Design of the phone is very good, the materials used for this device is also very good and makes the device feel like a single piece. Since it is a candy-bar phone, you won’t have creaks or noises emanating from it. The use of metal is extensive for a phone like this and makes the phone exude a high class feel. It certainly feels expensive.
In terms of lighting, the handset is adequately lit and the screen also has very good lighting.
The music player was a revelation to me, the quality of sound from the speaker and through the headset was exceptional. After having tested the E66, I found this to be very very good. Battery life too is exceptional for this phone. I am surprised at how long this phone can last, with heavy usage. I was easily able to get more than 3 days out of it from a single charge. The screen orientation, which is in landscape mode is very useful for for surfing and reading e-mails.
The camera was a big downer! It performed horribly, and I believe that the N70’s camera is better than the E71’s. Accessories provided for this phone are typical of a E series device.
The internet and maps features are very important for this phone. There are a plethora of connectivity options for the E71 like GPRS, EDGE, HSDPA(if your country supports it) and WiFi. Surfing was good and the only thing lacking in the browser is the lack of tabbed browsing.
