Better battery management. When coming from Android to Windows, this is the first thing observed.
Smooth in operation. Scrolls are smooth, Touch is just correct.
Screen contrast is awesome. Black is real black and not greyish.
Tiles might attract your attention for some time if you have been using other devices like Blackberry or Android.

Very plastic: You might not like the plastic feel of these devices.

The tiles which attracted you for a while might suddenly bore you off.

Popular Apps arrive first on Android Market and late on windows app store. This might pinch you a little.
If you are tech savvy person who is used to do things like rooting the device, flashing a new firmware, windows devices might disappoint you as you dont have much scope here.
Daily needs are met. Call handling is superb. Go for it if you want some change from routine Android experience. Ensure that you buy any windows phone that promises upgrade to Windows 10. Thats where the Windows Eco system is heading for.
