I am using the N70 since Nov05. Here are some of my observations on this:
1) The biggest and most annoying problem is the scratch prone metallic surface on the front on this phone. The metal finish looks extremely good when the phone is new but this quality of the metal used is so poor that it easily catches scratches on it. Therefore, if you are not using a protective cover (not easily available for N70) your N70 may look ugly within one month of use. Moreover, I was surprised when the Nokia service center told me that the metallic surface cannot be replaced because Nokia does not sell it as a spare part !
2) The keypad is too small. In order to make the screen bigger, Nokia has reduced the size of the keypads. It is quite a struggle to send SMS with this phone.
3) The response is extremely slow. You can feel this when you try to browse thru the photo gallery of your N70.
4) The most talked about feature of this phone is its 2MP camera. I do not think that the quality of pictures captured by N70 is in any comparison to the quality of pictures taken by a proper 2MP camera. If you zoom your picture on the phone and try to scroll, you will find that the color of the picture changes.
5) It is priced too high compared to what it offers.
Bottom line - it is more of a hype created by Nokia to market N70. I do not see a big deal in this phone though. Go for it if youve extra money to shed off.
