I am a proud owner of Nokia N73M for the last one and half years. It has served me well to keep me faithful to it for all this while and times to come. Ill cover the only features of this phone that I use.
1) Calls: No Complaints at all. The reception is crisp and clear even with bluetooth hands free(I use Jabra bluetooth headset).
2) Camera: Dont compare it with Digi Cams but for a mobile phone, it is awesome with 3.2 Mega Pix and Carl Zeis Lens. I was confident enough to take this phone in my Leh Trip and believe me, the pictures that I took(in daylight) could easily compete with 8 Mega Pixel cameras(nikon, sony and canon).
3) Videos: Great Videos with this one. Almost all cameras in this range including Sony Cybershot Series supports 3GP format. But N73 videos are in MP4 format which is much more clear with better sound that 3GP.
4) Music: I am a musician myself and its very hard to convince me. N73 is not better than iPod. But, its not bad. The sound quality is comparable to a Sony Ericsson Walkman Phone. Never loose the original earphone that come with N73 or else you will have to run around in vain to find a matching earphone. I didnt find the maximum volume good enough. The music player does not have a text search. One good thing about tN73 is that it has two external sterio speakers whcih gives good sound. Most mobiles comes with one external speakers.
5) Internet: The bundled Web Browser is good enough but does not allow Downloads greater than
2 MB. So I use Opera which is a great browser for mobiles. The screen size is a bit smaller tha the laterst N Series Phones. But its good enough to check your mails and orkut.
6) Battery Life: Battery life is Average and Best advice to be happy. "Make it a habit to charge it full and use it mercylessly throughout the day and remember to put it back on charge before you say goodnight;-)"
7) Storage: N73 comes with a 2GB mini SD card which is good enough to store your fav. songs, videos and loads of applications.
There are loads of other applications that I never use but one may be interested in applications like Blogging, office applications, Messenger and FM Radio,
This model when launched was priced at 25, 000/- and was the second best in the N Series in 2006. I bought it when it was 18, 500/- I suggest you grab the N73 as early as possible before Nokia obsoletes the model.
The price today is around 13, 000. Dont worry about 3G, it supported 3G since it was launched. I am not a Nokia sales peron. I am a happy N73 user:-)
