Purchased the Nokia N82 last week and thought I should write a small review for people thinking of getting the same...
I am not going to mention the specifications as they are already mentioned on thousands of websites... What I AM going to tell you is the true Positive and Negative facts after using the phone...
*NEGATIVES:*
1) For people who are going to type many msgs, DO NOT get this phone as it has one of the wordt buttons... the buttons are small horizontal bars that are very difficult to press and you do not understand whether you have pressed AND whether you hsve pressed the right one.
2) **Inability to create folders; **You can certainly create folders from Nokia suite BUT you cannot create them while using the phone.
3) Design is a little old fashioned compared to many other phones; not a big negative, but maybe certain people wont like it for that reason...
*POSITIVES:*
1) **Video: *
OH MY GOD! The videos are simply AWESOME!! For the price segment (Under 20k), there is NO PHONE that can take videos even closer to this bad boy! The videos are so good that it is dificult to judge whether they were taken from a digicam or a cell phone!
Hence, you can keep your digicam at home and simply take out this phone to take some amazing videos of your trip, party, etc...
2) **Accelerometer:** What is simply means is that if you tilt the phone sideways, i.e. horizontal, the entire display tilts and occupies the entire screen, simple superb for viewing photos, documents and videos!
3) 2 Gb memory card with the phone! (Unlike SonyEricsson which gives only 128, 512 or 1gb cards)
4) Speed of the operating system is quite fast for a nokia phone! (Symbian 60, 3rd edition)
*OVERALL:*
This phone is a very good phone for people who want very good audio capability (it has a standard 3.5mm jack for connecting it to practically any audio system!!).
But for video enthusiasts, do not look further, THIS IS THE PHONE TO GET! Yes, it is not a great looking phone, but**it is for those people who want performance over looks.*
And yes, it also has all the standard Nokia features which I didnt describe here.
*Would I recommend this phone?** Hell yaa!
*Would I buy it again if the old one fell in a gutter or something? **Obviously YES!
