I purchased a BLACK N82 last month and I have been enjoying it to the fullest. I did a lot of research on this device on the Internet and all most all of them were positive about it except for few very minor issues with the body design.
Display is great and the built quality is awesome. People say that the keys are hard to press but in real it is easy to use as the keys a placed with good distance between each other and it gives a good tactile feed to.
The D pad is good but I saw some gap formation on the opposite side every time you click on the direction keys, this worries me, as there is a good chance of letting dust in. But we can avoid it.
The Camera is awesome as it has one of the best flash, Nokia N82 multimedia computer has been awarded the ‘Best Mobile Imaging Device in Europe 2008’ by TIPA (Technical Image Press Association) - Europe’s largest photo and imaging press association. I love the camera quality, which is comparable with still shot digital cameras. It has WiFi that works great and the browser is best. This device is the fastest S60 devices I ever lived with, it performs great and is never sluggish. The audio quality is good from the loud speakers but when I use my creative ear buds to listen to music it is best... I feel it is as good as ipod, the bass effect is awesome and the stereo widening works great.
GPS is one of the main attraction of the phone and it works really cool. I have installed goggle maps and it works very well. I was planning to buy iphone 8GB, which is just the same, price of N82 [may vary depending on the market] but then read a lot of good things about this device and I got it. Iphone is great and it has awesome interface but it has a 2MP camera with no video recording, cant set our own ringtones cant forward SMS messages and few other drawbacks and that was the reason why I got N82 and I am very happy with this s60 device. It is the best s60 till date.
