Have been using the Nokia N91 for close to 5 months now. Let me tell you at the onset of this review that the N91 is wrought with software bugs.
I am using the one which had s/w ver. V1.00.028.14 manufactured in March 06.
These s/w bugs have been exterminated with subsequent s/w upgrades. And if you are facing any problems with regards to the same its advisable to get your s/w upgraded at your nearest Nokia Care.
The features of the phone are fantabulous. A 4-gig hard-drive really does beat the hell out of most other phones. Other cool features include a Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g connectivity, Radio, 2MP cam, and a cool Music access keypad.
The sound quality is awesome. The loudspeaker works very well if you want to listen to music without head-phones. And the headphones work pretty awesome too. I hv an iPod too, and I personally feel that my Nokia is beeter than the iPod mini (not the nano though).
The camera is average at best.I really think they should have put in a Carl Zeiss system into it. Sadly the camera lacks a flash as well and pictures in the dark are non-existent.
The Video functions are pretty cool though. You can turn the full-screen mode on and watch videos by holding the phone horizontally.
Wi-Fi works like a charm.Messaging is alright. The keys are too small but I got used to them.
The Menu button is placed on the side of the phone.Works alright for me, but I duno why they put it there.
Now for the bad news. There is not much bad-news really. Except that I lost all my songs once and my messages hv kept on disappearing over time. This was recitified by formatting the hard-disk once. And getting the latest version of the software.
I think that its a decent phone and now with the recent price drop its a decent buy.
But if you really can wait then wait for the Nokia N95.Now that is a killer.
