Before you read this; Please Note: If you drop your phone very frequently OR just prefer more of looks and sleek design instead of features and usability then do not go in for this phone.
Have the N95 Classic for almost a year now. Had some trouble at first, but after getting it replaCED, IT IS THE BEST PHONE I HAVE HAD SO FAR.
Ok here it goes now........Not much to look at. The design and the colors could have been better.
I would prefer a black color, similar to the N95 8GB version OR the N95 Classic US version which has a black color as well as a pink one for girls. The body is really made of pathetic low grade material, so I would suggest to handle it safely.
Gets scratches very fast and the color from the back panel chips off which is a very bad move from NOKIA.The 5 MP Camera is really good though at times you get images with Dust & Scratches on it, especially in the dark.
The video is really excellent and the sound reception in video recording is simply great(It even records the fans whooshes)
Though what is irritating is the red focus light during video recording(Previously proper white focus light, Changed from Firmware V11 onwards [*#0000# to check Firmware version] )
The music quality is not that great in loudspeakers, but when used a proper headphone, it is simply awesome.
The music handsfree that comes along with the Set is really good, better quality than what I have had with some previous Nokia phones.
Along with the Set you have AV cables to connect your phone to a TV and play games, watch videos, image slideshows which is pretty much not very useful.
The GPS has really improved a lot in Nokia Maps 2.0, though Nokia still lacks in adding enough details to the Maps in INDIA.
Another bad thing is NOKIA forcing us to buy navigation after buying such an expensive phone.
Have an option to load many softwares, which I find the greatest feature as there are N’th number of softwares you can find for the phone which increases the usability and features a hell lot.
After adding the Acelerometer plugin, the phone has become even better and it keeps getting better.
My phone is out of warranty now so I have hacked my phone too due to which I can use even more software and customize it more than ever.
Just check out forums on Nokia S60 3rd Edition phones and you can increase the usability, features, change the look and do a lot more with your N95.
