I bought this phone on Sep 2010. I was planning to go for X6 but due to some defects on that set I went for N97 mini. On first look the Mobile looks great with Sliding Keypad, great copper metallic color, Good Sound and Carl Zeiss 5 MP Camera with great Flash.
With looks quite similar to N97 makes the owner of the mobile happy.
But when I started comparing it with other sets like galaxy, galaxy S, Samsung Corbi or any other Nokia sets of X series feature wise I didn’t find it great. Mobile Starts hanging on extensive usage, battery backup isn’t great. It doesn’t last more than a day without any great usage.
Not much free applications available in internet. As a user who buys a mobile with 18K would like to avail many more free apps which is not available even in Nokia OVI. Getting accessories for this is also difficult. Non Expandable memory also makes it storage limited (although 8 GB is more than enough)
So my suggestion would be not to go for this set as any cheaper set would give them same satisfaction and features or add some extra bucks and go for galaxy and HTC’s
