Nokia after a long time launched their much awaited first android phone Nokia X series out of which Nokia XL is the highest model. But it seems like they actually didnt want to launch an android phone and hence left it incomplete, without proper finishing and quality that we expected from Nokia.
Build & design: The phone is pretty wide to hold for a 5 in device and is not that comfortable to hold in a single hand if u have small-medium hands. It is built out of plastic but is strong and durable, have dropped it 5-6 times from 3-4 ft but its perfect so far.
Display: Display is very poor. Not even hd. This is not fair. However the brightness is ok but viewing angles are not acceptable.
Battery life: Being a Nokia device, battery life is decent, can easily last a typical working day.
Performance: The device is undoubtedly underpowered, for slight gaming, its ok but dont expect to do anything close to advanced tasks on this device, with 768 MB of ram it will disappoint most of u.
Camera: Camera is not upto the mark, u can even set the resolution of video in camera, both the front and rear camera are avg in daylighting but even in good artificial lighting, they are poor.Forget abt low lighting.
Speaker: Speaker is loud and clear.
Call quality is above avg.
Updates: Since Nokia is a dead company now, dont just have any expectations from them in updates.
UI: When u take the phone in your hand it doesnt feel like an android phone, Nokia has so heavily customised the look and feel. And personally I didnt like it. They have tried to make it resemble like Asha series with that fastlane. Moreover there is only one capacitive button for back long pressing which u go to home. I mean there is no recent apps button. Come on an android phone without multitasking.
Price and competition: Phone is priced at 11, 000 and seriously there are much better options available in the market.
Availability: Since its a Nokia phone, its available everywhere, online, offline both.
So Nokia we are waiting for u to do a comeback in the Android market without such crapy phones. Better launch a good and powerful phone with stock android and price it a bit aggressively and thats it I think still the brand name is very popular and especially in India, people trust u and your quality. Hope to see the old Nokia back in the form again and defeat all these Samesung, Xiaomi and all.
