I purchased this phone over 2 years back. Not the best buy but being a Nokia fan I was sure that this phone would be the best at the price I paid for it. I was taken by surprise after a few months when the phone began heating up while tethering and sometimes even while charging. But still the phone stuck on without failing.
Biggest demerit I see with Nokia XL is the OS. It used a mix of Android and Windows mobile technologies. While this may sound great, the downside is that most android apps would not work on this phone.
The HERE maps are great but sucks the life out of battery. 30 minutes of GPS usage with HERE maps and my battery goes from 90% to 30%. This is the second biggest drawback of Nokia XL.
If there are not concerns for you, you can try this phone as well. I’m not planning to use this phone for another 6 months.
