Nola in bengali means licking-out lust for food of choice. The term is often associated with the growing apetitite among old-age people for the food forbidden for them.
The restaurant is near Hatibagan area of North Kolkata and well-connected by roads. The nearest metro station is Shovabazar and railway station Ultadanga(Bidhan Nagar Road) is also not far away. The restaurant is situated in the aristocrat area with large number of people, mostly college-students, trafficking everyday.
The Nola restaurant, however, does not do a justice for her name. The interirors and presentation of the restaurant is good. Space is ample and location is also well-accesible. The food quality is low to the extent of rotten material. Ive visited once and ordered for a fish kabiraji which was delivered within normal time but the fish inside was stinking and the mutton afgani or somthing alike(i dont remember specifically any more) didnt have a grain of flesh or meat apparently. Price is ok but food is not at all at par with price. Dont waste your time and money going there.
