The pen is mightier than the sword they say. Its very true in this case. For a new timer, this storyline. the character buildup and entire essence of the story is held from the beginning to the end.
I read this book in 2005 when one of my friends suggested that I should probably get out of the sleaze and pretty similar type stories of Sidney Sheldon and venture into a new territory. That was the beginning of a new friendship with Jeffrey Archer. ;) " Not a penny more, Not a penny less " incidentally happened to be my first novel. The storytelling, the script and the basic plotline was fluid. Honestly, this is the best and I mean the best Ive read so far from a new-comer.
The basic storyline is about the stock market and how one individual named Harvey Metcalfe is able to circumvent the system and use it to his benefit. As his wealth in his new found venture increases, his enemies also grow rapidly.
I will not spoil the surprise by telling you how a few individuals were swindled by Harvey Metcalfe. Instead the characters, Stephen, Robin, Jean-Pierre and James get upon a plan to take exactly what they lost to the last penny.
As you progress further in the book you will be really really fascinated by the imaginative settings and the stages that these young genius have created.
A word of caution. This book is addictive and so is the author. You will want to read each and every book of his and Il be very happy if you do.
The birth of a new author has occurred. Watch closely for further attractions.
Cheers.
