As I’m sure you are all aware that I love horror movies, I’m going to take a step back for a while and write a review on comedy. If you have seen the movies like: American Pie, Cruel Intensions, Bring it On, Jaw Breakers, American Beauty, Varsity Blues and last but not least She’s all that, then you will understand what this movie is about. All those movies I listed above were considered a teen movie. If you seen the movie Scary Movie then you understood that it was based upon different parts of other scary movies, well that is basically what this movie I’m going to write about is like. So enough of an introduction, let me get onto the movie.
Not another Teen Movie
The movie begins with a flash back to the famous part in American Pie were Jason I believe is caught by his parents in his bedroom for pleasing himself sexual? Well in this movie it’s a young girl named Jamie who ends up being caught doing the nasty in her room. It’s such a funny site and I thought ok, now this is going to be an awesome movie just like American Pie was. Then the movie switches mode and you start to see parts of the movie She’s all That, were a popular joke ends up making a bet with his buddies that he couldn’t turn one of the ugliest girls into the Prom Queen. Well Jamie is the one they pick, and now the Jock needs to find a way to get her to go out with him. I liked the part were he is in the football field and Jamie and her classmates are on the field with their art esiles and he is in the stand singing a song from Aerosmith “Jamie has a gun” and then everyone around Jamie starts to freak out and run because they thought she did have a gun. What a way to get Jamie to notice you huh? Now we are introduced to the nasty bad attitude stuck up cheerleaders. They bring a twist on from the movie Jaw Breakers, and Bring it on. The cheerleaders of course think they are all it, and the head cheerleader just broke up with the big time jock so she really now doesn’t like Jamie. If you remember the movie American Beauty then you will recall the boy who done that filming, well this is now the bitchy head cheerleaders new boyfriend, instead of a feather or leave being blown around this boy has a bag. Real cute ah? I do however have to give them credit this boy sure could be the twin to the regular actor from American beauty.
I liked the part when Jamie ends up going to a popular party and the Jocks sister comes over and changes the way Jamie looks. The sister however is like the girl from the movie Cruel Intensions were she tries to sleep around with her own brother. When Jamie comes walking down the stairs she stops and everyone gets a great look at her new improved beautiful body and hair and cloths. She isn’t wearing those big black glasses anymore. Then the song begins again and she takes a few steps and the steps end up breaking and Jamie falls right down to the basement. Now that was funny. Oh the most important part that my husband of course liked was the part were a foreign exchange student comes to the high school. She is considered to be like Nadia from American Pie, but instead of her accent being cool, she is completely NUDE. This is of course ok to walk around like in this school for some odd reason. So Jamie is the one who has to show this new girl all around. Yes men you will get to see more of this new girl through out the movie, so be ready. I also liked the part when Jamie ends up going to the jocks house and he tries to get her to trust him, and then he asks if she wants something to eat. She says no, but he goes to the kitchen anyway and comes back with no cloths on, but is wearing whipped cream on his breasts and on his private part, and asks her to take a lick. She of course says she doesn’t like Sundays, but he tells her its not a Sunday it’s a banana split. That part was really funny too. Oh my I could go on and on about all the funny parts of this movie, but if I done that then you wouldn’t need to see it yourself. So I will now end with my conclusion of the story.
Conclusion
I can’t say this is a great movie, but it wasn’t bad either. I did like trying to figure out what other movie they were portraying in each clip, but besides that I thought the movie was rather stupid. If you want to laugh then it’s a cool movie to watch as long as you have seen most of the other teen movies that they are talking about in this one. You will also get to see (Pretty in Pink and the Breakfast club too). I guess the main role of the Jock was to be like Freddy Prince JR. He was kind of cute, but Freddy is ten times better looking. So I will leave it up to you weather or not you want to rent this movie or not.
