"Its all about money, honey!" the second last line depicted the truth, the truth about the reality, that we all cares about money. AND I CARED ABOUT MINE AND OTHERS DAMN MONEY! One day, I started reading "Jabse.." (SR SAHA), and found worst book by any Indian author, then one day I found the exchange offer, I exchanged "Jabse.." (1/5) with "I too had a love story" (3/5)for just Rs.20 which was a good read, then I exchanged it with "Now that youre rich.." for Rs.20, I took it as my personal work to help out so many readers what to choose from this overflowing ocean of Indian love-stories! And so, here I presents the third review in the series, about the worsest (if theres any word exist like this in English!) book "Now That youre rich, lets fall in love" (0.5/5) By Durjoy Dutta and Maanvi Ahuja, named as "Chitty Chatter Chitter!".
About the Authors: This is the 2nd book from the author-duo Durjoy Dutta and Maanvi Ahuja, after their highly acclaimed (!!) bestseller "Ofcourse I Love You.. Till I find someone better". As per the book strip, Durjoy has joined Management Development Institute, Gurgaon in 2009, and is graduate from Delhi College of Engineering (2008 batch), while Maanvi is working as investment banker in Hyderabad.
About the Plot: So, lets see the plot. Bunch of 4 different guys - Abhi, Shruti, Garima and Saurav, all joins Silverman Finance, and then their worst time started. They worked more than 16 hrs a day, everybody have bad past, and they want to overcome it by getting huge amount of money, by working here. And then theres a guy (the author) Deb, who is narrating the whole story. He is shabby and mastmaula kind of guy, but got the best girl of the company Avantika. Then there are certain villians like Sumita, Thapar, who too work in the same company. In the middle, some misunderstandings happens, which let the breaking of friendship between the 4 guys, and Shruti left all and went to exile mode. There he met the Indias biggest business tycoon Rishab Manchanda, and got engaged. So, a poor girl Shruti got the richest guy, similarly Saurav got rich girl Garima, and Abhi got someone called Riya, while Deb got married to Avantika.
The Positives: Let us first go on the positives regarding this book, since their are minimum and I can cover them fast.
Whatever is written in the story, can be considered as todays story of those youths, who didnt have any directions in their lives. They just ate, drink, smoke, work, and fk. Because this is what all covered in this book, a lot of se although, youths mindset is covered to some level, probably author himself does that, like looking inside girls clothes from top, considered girls as objects, imagining fantasies...
Atlast, I found some movable plot here, (please dont considered it as movable story!). Something moves in here, unlike Sahas or Ravinder Singhs book. The charcaters graduated, left their past and join a company, which screws them and in the end they got sense, got their jobs back, teach lessons to the villians, and in the end got rich counterparts.
The Negatives: Now, the many negatives of this book, which made this book bad than "jabse"
You must be amazed what does my review title means. Well, here comes the biggest -ve of this book. The whole book is written like someone is chatting with someone. Now, its upto you to understand, who is talking to whom! Are yaar! Whatever dialogues are coming into the authors mind, they just wrote that, and gave a headache to the reader, to solve the mystery behind that. They could better write a screenplay or dialogues instead, why did they waste a whole book! I am talking my mind out, while reading and understanding the book.
So, here comes the another negative point, the book is fully confused, and reader will get more. Till I end the book, I was still thinking, in which chapter, who is talking to whom.
Plus, so many character introduced in the book, that reader will certainly think now, whos that. The chapters are arranged, like the scenes, any director is having in his mind, while making a film. "Ok now lets shoot this scene, it goes like that. No, now, well shoot this scene!" Until you have courage to find the characters background in early pages, youll require more of your mind to decrypt the name just came in the new chapter.
This book is vulgar to the limits, depicting boys fantasies over Girls. The girls are described as a se* object, playing with the filthy minds of boys. In many books (the great ones), I remembered the introduction of characters, where the author tells, about his/her features, describe about their face cut, the format of hairs and all good details. Here, you get introduction as whats her body sizes are, how deep you can look into her from above, how she will work during a session! (Pardon me for my language, but this book is just like that!) Bad words are used here and there to describe fantasies.
Then some parts of the story are unconvincing, just like a Bollywood masala movie, where the girls parents are in debt, so they can marry her to the widower, and like in the end, when the same girl met a multi-millionaire Businessman in a Bar in half-conscious state, and got engaged to him.
Well, I was searching for the humor, but sorry! nothing to laugh here, except laughing at the plight of poor authors, that what sh** theyve written.
Story goes on just like a typical flop Bollywood masala movie, where one of the friend lost her trust on other friends, since they doubted her that she sleeps with the villian, and hence she went away, and when those friends come to know that that wasnt truth, theyre searching for her, while she was getting drunk and loving her millionaire fiance. And so theres some love triangles, squares, blackmails etc.
Just like Hollywood Movies, here too, losing virginity is a big deal, like if you dont then youre not man !!
Now, here comes that persons introduction, who is narrating the story. He is shabby (Deb), didnt pay much attention to his employers, but got the best girl of town. Wow! the heroes and heroines enters. All Indian author depict their main characters as great lead (probably imagining themselves as those characters!), and theyre always correct.
Two incidents described fully about removing clothes and having se* betwen the characters, Hmm! okay, so that is used just to complete their 215 pages of book.
This book is again from the same "Srishti Publication". Please anybody tell me, whether they are millionaires! If so, then can even publish my book too (as now I too am thinking to write one!!, I will write anything, story is no issue, they will publish!), and if theyre not why they are wasting their money and lots of papers. Save earth yaar! As per books backside, comments of "Kolkata Mirror" says "The most popular novel this season". Is that so! Naah! I dont think. As the last chapter of the novel named "Real Good", so I too think when I completed the book, atlast the torture ends here, and it was real good for gaining my health back.
Just give this book a miss! No humor, No story, No emotions, Full of vulgarity and se*, and its goes like Chitty Chatter Chitter (0.5/5)
