Realplayer, Quicktime and Windows Media are the other major plays and none of them are as quick, personal and non-commercial as this one. Just about my only complaint about it is there isnt an easy button to delete the whole playlist.. but theres one thats close enough as new list. I wouldnt use any other player.
The only way this player could be better, would be if it had video capabilities. But as far as audio goes, its quick-loading, sounds great, and has lots of options that make it very efficient. As far as audio is concerned, it is far superior to the Windows Media Player and the default player that comes with Windows.
Just very good
The long history of Winamp dates back to 1997 when Justin Frankel started out programming on the Amp interface. Back then, it was the first professional audio program that featured mp3 compatibility. Right now, it still is the leader of the pack media players that support mp3, and other sound formats.
winamp is by far the easiest media player ive used. its always being updated and improved. truly the only media player for those serious about there music
